KingYubu Madang Mall

KingYubu Madang Mall is a Korean counter on South Western Avenue, in the middle of Koreatown. What it makes is yubu chobap — seasoned rice pressed into a pocket of sweet braised fried tofu, topped, and eaten with your hands. It is everyday food in Korea and still unfamiliar to a lot of people in Los Angeles, which is most of the reason this counter is worth walking into.

Alongside it the counter serves Korean street food — tteokbokki among it — and yubu topped with bulgogi, salmon and spicy chicken. The whole menu is here, and ordering for pickup or delivery runs through our ordering page.

The counter is inside Madang Mall, on South Western Avenue between Wilshire Boulevard and Olympic Boulevard. Western Avenue is a main Koreatown artery and the Metro D Line stops at Wilshire/Western, a few blocks north of the mall.
